30-day songwriting challenge - Day 0

In the midst of pre-production for our "Lovelight" album, my wife, Alicia, has challenged me to write 30 songs in 30 days (and she will be writing 1000 words a day for 30 days... check that out HERE).

So I will be keeping you up to date on the recording process, but will also be posting links to Youtube or Soundcloud regarding this new challenge and the daily song.  I may need a couple of days to actually get each day's new song in a format that is presentable, so don't sue me if I appear to miss a day here or there.  :-)

On the recording front- we hope to get a bulk of the album recorded during October, and maybe even finish up in time to record a Christmas present project for everyone.  I do have several irons on the fire right now, including an original Christmas musical for the church (everything is written- now I just need to get it in an actor-friendly format).  We don't anticipate releasing the album any earlier than January, but at least this will give us more time to put together the whole package.  The Christmas stuff might just happen "in between."

Speaking of Christmas, DKG will be going into a different studio tonight to record our version of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" for a community CD.  It's an exciting time for us, and we're ready to move forward together!
